I know I'm new to this whole lace thing, and I began the pattern using something I already own, instead of going out and buying proper Yarn Meant to Be Used in Lace. So, I did a little mini blocking just to see if this isn't too busy. It is a lot of colors.
what do you think?

I have less busy yarn...
I could do a more simple repeat with this one?
Ella?

I'm just afraid for all my effort, it might look like basketweave in the end.....

I think it looks great! The pattern is just enough to keep the yarn from pooling.

I think it looks good.

I think it'll look like overlaid leaves...

I love it - what a great mix of colors - it's funky and different.

I don't know how you got such great pictures of lace in a busy colorway. That's not an easy thing to photograph, so if it's coming out looking so great on the blog, I think it will probably work in real life as well. Knit away!

I really like the look of this piece--such a lovely jumble of autumn colors. Please keep us posted as it grows.
