is finally done. The drawings, the written presentation and the index cards for the oral piece.
It's a biome adaptation project. Lets just say I adapted to another night without knitting.

By the way, this is sooooo not what I expected to use those vintage leather buttons for.

But Maya needed big round eyes so he could see predators from all directions.

(That's my poison ivy stuff in his talons. Because you can get it in Dec. if you really try.)

OMG Thea -- this is killing me! You are a good Mom, and yes - those eyes WILL see predators.

Ha ha.

Just a week of this helltown left. The orno-dude is quite nice. Here's to a weekend with a bit of knitting. Can't wait to see the design.

Nicely done! I HATED the biomes lesson in 6th grade, not sure why. But I'm pretty sure a bird dude like this would have kept me more interested.

Oh, I don't miss those days of biomes and dioramas and "special projects." (Once we even made a simulated hockey rink in a pyrex pan to show how zambonis work to clean the ice. Amazing what we Moms are capable of. . .)

I, unfortunately, also know the evil ways of poison ivy in all seasons. Hope the stuff works -- fast.

That guy is crazy colorful awesomeness! Looks like something you'd find on one of those tropical islands used as a super-awesome secret villain base by evil masterminds. When it opens its beak, it has camera in it...
